In the centre of Linden is a beautiful market place with a little small-town flair. In the southwest there is the industrial and former colliery area. Bochum's Linden district is a predominantly low-density residential area situated six kilometres south-west of the city centre and on the border to Hattingen. In Linden's centre you will find a beautiful marketplace, which exudes a little small-town atmosphere.
Adjoining to the south-west is the industrial and former mining zone.
