Holsterhausen
Holsterhausen lies around 1.5km south-west of Essen city centre, and is a predominantly densely built and very popular residential area. The area around Planckstraße und Papenstraße is very urban, whereas the south-west, bordering the Margaretenhöhe district, is more suburban and less densely built. The renowned university hospital can be found in Holsterhausen's south. The Holsterhausener Straße and Gemarkenstraße offer all the shops you are likely to need, including a weekly market. Multiple tram routes take you to the city centre and other districts of the city. The A40 motorway is similarly reachable in just a short time.
